Start your search by typing your keywords into the Nexis Uni search bar. The basic search default is to find sources from the previous 2 years, however you may change that date range in the drop down menu. Additionally, the default is to search all content types; you may alter the content type by using the dropdown menu to select from News, Companies, Legal or People. If you have a more focused idea for your search, try using the Guided Search, below the main search bar. Guided Search allows you to limit your investigation to common sources, such as Law Reviews.
The basic search will explore all sources within Nexis Uni. Your results will be displayed by category, starting with News. To browse the other categories (such as Law Reviews and Legal News) select that category from the filter column. Each category includes a set of category-specific filters so that you may further sort your results. For example, you may filter Cases by specific courtrooms and law firms involved.
Checking the box next to one of your results allows you to download, print or save the file.
Select one of the documents to read the full text. Once opened, you have the ability to print, email and download the document, to export the citation and to discover source and background information relevant to the document.
To access the Nexis Uni Help Center, find the question mark located inside of a starburst circle on your screen (on a computer it is in the bottom right of the page). If you select the question mark, you will have access to a variety of training videos and support resources.
