NUTR 10 Research, Review & Report Assignment

Finding Background Information

To find a topic that meets the requirements of the assignment, you may want to browse through reference books first, to find background information or to get an overview of possible topics. The Library has both print and electronic reference books to help you with this.

To use print reference books, you will have to visit the Library. Electronic reference books can be used online.

Two useful resources for you to start your research are presented below.

Finding Background Information

The best research topic is one that you have an interest or curiosity about. You probably have some ideas about your research topic already, or ideas you want to explore, but still want to gather more information about them.

For general information about the topic of nutrition, enter one of the word "nutrition" in either of the search boxes below. This will lead you to online reference books that can be helpful in your exploration, for example, getting an overview over various aspects of your topic or for finding important keywords - and their synonyms - for your database searches.
