All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The Immigrant Legal Resource Center’s "Red Cards" help people assert their rights and defend themselves in many situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home. The cards provide details on individual rights and as well as potential responses to questioning by ICE agents.
The cards are typically printed on red cardstock, thus the name. However, no matter what they are printed on, the information is useful in defending immigrant rights.
