1. Finding Background Information

researchOnce you've selected a research topic that meets the requirements of the assignment, browse or skim through reference materials to find background information and to get an overview of that topic. This will allow you to make note of key events, important people, initial questions, etc. and to develop strong key words to use when searching. 

  • You can start your search with the three Reference Databases below - Britannica Academics, Gale eBooks & Credo Reference.
